Additional Roles: Director of Student Athlete Mental Health Program - oversees the mental health programming for student athletes and is the liaison between CAPS and the Department of Athletics. Works clinically with both student athletes and teams, and coordinates clinical care for student athletes as well as outreach and prevention efforts, including the Student Athletes Mentors program.
Clinical Experiences/Interests: Family and relational problems, sport/performance, eating disorder/body image, couples/intimacy issues, life transitions, mood and anxiety disorders, identity concerns, and substance use.
Approach to Treatment: "My approach to therapy is to take a curious and collaborative stance with students and student athletes to better understand what is getting in their way and develop increased resiliency and self-awareness. I believe this will help them thrive emotionally, in relationships with others, and in their performance in the classroom and in their respective sport. I take a relational approach to my work with teams, focusing on developing increased communication and team cohesion to enhance performance and team dynamics."
